Job summary

Avamere at Seaside, Seaside, OR, is seeking a Part-Time Caregiver to support residents with daily living activities, provide companionship, and help maintain safety and well‑being. Duties include assisting with bathing, dressing, mobility, meal setup, light housekeeping, health monitoring, and timely communication with medical staff.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in Memory Care Unit or Assisted Living Facility
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Card
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation
• Must be 18 years or older
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests
• Genuine desire to improve quality of life for seniors
• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment

Responsibilities

• Assisting with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
• Mobility assistance: walking, transferring, and mobility aids
• Meal preparation and setting up meals
• Emotional support and companionship with residents
• Housekeeping: cleaning, laundry, tidying
• Health monitoring: observe changes, report to medical staff, monitor vital signs
• Respond to resident calls for assistance promptly
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information
• Maintain a safe work environment and report safety concerns
• Assist with orientation of new residents and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
