Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC in Seaside, Oregon, seeks a compassionate Caregiver-Memory Care to support residents with daily living activities, emotional support, and safety. You will assist with ADLs, mobility, meal setup, and companionship in a memory care setting.

This part-time position requires weekend availability and a flexible schedule. Wage ranges from $18.58 to $24.24 per hour DOE, with an attendance bonus program. Location: Avamere at Seaside, 2500 Roosevelt Drive, Seaside, OR 97138.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit and/or Assisted Living Facility.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Mobility support: assisting with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
• Meal preparation and setup: assisting with meals and removing trays from rooms.
• Emotional support and companionship: providing empathy and social engagement.
• Housekeeping and safety: maintaining a clean, safe environment and reporting health concerns.
• Observe residents for health changes and maintain confidentiality.

Attendance bonus: The perfect attendance bonus in a pay period will be $100.00 for a full-time employee and $75.00 for a part-time employee.

Job Summary

The caregiver's duties encompass a wide range of tasks, includingassisting with activities of daily living, emotional support, housekeeping, and ensuring the resident's safety and well-being.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

• Personal Hygiene:Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Mobility Assistance:Supporting residents with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
• Meal Preparation:Assisting with setting up meals, cutting up food if needed, and removing trays from rooms.

Emotional Support and Companionship:

• Providing Emotional Support:Offering empathy, listening to residents, and providing encouragement.
• Companionship:Engaging in conversations, activities, and social interactions to combat loneliness and isolation.

Housekeeping:

• Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up.

Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy:

• Observing residents for changes in health, reporting concerns to medical professionals, and monitoring vital signs.

Other:

• Answer resident calls for assistance timely.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Maintain a safe work environment. Report safety concerns in the resident apartments to the supervisor.
• Assists with the orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
