Job summary

Arvum Senior Living in Mount Pleasant, IA, is seeking a caring Care Giver/Med Tech to assist residents in a supportive memory care and assisted living setting. You will provide hands-on care, monitor health, assist with daily living activities, and ensure safety.

No prior CNA required for many roles; on-the-job training offered; full-time positions with competitive wages, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• First Aid Certification preferred.
• Previous experience with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for a designated group of residents during the shift; monitor residents and check on them.
• Observe, report and document symptoms and conditions of residents; note changes.
• Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly.
• Notify supervisor if a resident requires increased care.
• Assist with continence management and sanitation of resident areas.
• Serve and collect food trays; report appetite changes.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and work areas.
• Promote hygiene and safety; support independence.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transfers, eating).
• Lead residents in life skills and enrichment activities.
• Greet and assist residents, family members, guests, vendors and team members.
• Perform resident laundry as assigned.
