Job summary

The SR Companies seeks caring staff to enhance the SRIM experience, delivering daily living assistance and compassionate care to residents and families. The role emphasizes empathy, respect, and safety while promoting resident independence and participating in activities.

Responsibilities include dining assistance, light housekeeping, laundry, and timely communication with the care team. Training and adherence to policy are required for ongoing-quality care.

Qualifications

• Language skills: read and comprehend simple instructions, short memos and write simple correspondence.
• Reasoning: apply common sense to follow instructions and handle basic problems.
• Education/Experience: HS diploma or GED; 1–2 years related experience or training.
• Physical Demands: able to stand/walk, lift up to 50 pounds, perform practical tasks.
• Work Environment: occasional exposure to blood borne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including dressing, grooming, peri-care, toileting, hygiene.
• Help residents during meals and dining room services at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Encourage resident independence and participate in leisure activities per the activity calendar.
• Communicate with residents, families, visitors, and staff with empathy and respect.
• Respond promptly to resident requests and document observations for supervisor.
• Assist with training and mentoring new staff as needed.
