Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Fredericksburg, Virginia is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to provide quality daily living support for residents. You will assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, meals, and light housekeeping while ensuring safety and confidentiality.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of an approved PCA program, ability to lift 50 lbs, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days), and a flexible schedule including

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completed approved personal care aide program as applicable.
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• Able to lift 50 lbs, push or carry 25 lbs; assist to transfer.
• CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become within 60 days of hire.
• Must wear designated uniform during working hours with name badge.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident areas.
• Respond promptly to calls and emergencies from residents and staff.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Assist residents with move-in transition and provide emotional support.
• Report resident status and concerns to appropriate staff.
• Communicate status and information to the nursing team and supervisor.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
