Job summary

JEVS Care at Home is hiring caregivers to support clients in their daily living activities per individualized care plans.

Caregivers help clients maintain independence, receive training on ADLs and PPE, and participate in professional development including CPR, First Aid, and Dementia training. Candidates must be 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, and complete orientation and exams. U.S. work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• A High School diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Nurse Aide Certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate with Client Care Manager.
• Completion of Caregiver Orientation.
• Must satisfactorily complete JEVS Care at Home written exam and orientation program 80% passing score on post-orientation exam.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• The Caregiver will demonstrate understanding of and encourage the independent living philosophy.
• The JEVS Care at Home Caregiver will complete a competency examination after attending a training and orientation that address standard regulations. Annually thereafter, the JCAH Caregiver will complete an annual re-certification course and test.
• The Caregiver will maintain confidentiality of client information as per HIPAA regulations.
• The Caregiver will complete instrumental activities of daily living, according to the client’s Plan of Care.
