Job summary

Vitality in Louisville, KY seeks a dedicated Personal Care Specialist to assist residents with daily living activities, support emotional health, and help with care plans. You will participate in onboarding and ongoing training, and collaborate with team members to ensure compassionate, compliant care.

The role includes assisting with laundry and light duties, following policies, and reporting resident needs to supervisors to promote dignity and choice for all residents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Meet state or provincial health related requirements.
• Maintain any certification as required by state or provincial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities as indicated in service plans.
• Assist residents with simple treatments as indicated in service plans.
• Assist residents with emotional health and/or problem behavioral issues as indicated in service plans.
• Perform other services for residents as indicated in service plans (e.g., laundry and pet care).
• Inform supervisor of resident needs and preferences for service plan updates.
• Observe and report resident problems to supervisor.
• Attend onboarding, annual and in-service training and team meetings.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Wellness Director.
