Job summary

Pacific Villas Post Acute in Oceanside, CA seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a safe, clean environment across public areas and resident rooms in a long-term care setting. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a long-term care facility is preferred.
• English literacy to read manuals and instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and debris-free.
• Clean and remove dust, dirt or food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars and dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Follow safety measures and keep supplies and chemicals out of reach of residents.
• Use supplies and equipment safely per manuals.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.
• Notify Director of Housekeeping/Administrator or Director of Nursing of safety concerns.
• Notify Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment.
• Excellent customer skills and positive attitude.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
