Job summary

Homestead Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean and safe environments across public areas, resident rooms and bathrooms in our long-term care facility. You will sweep, mop and dust, restock supplies, and ensure handrails, walls and fixtures are free of debris.

The role requires the ability to work independently or with a team, excellent customer service, and adherence to safety procedures. High school diploma or GED is required; prior LTC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in long-term care facility preferred.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain public and common areas daily (lobby, restrooms, floors).
• Clean resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Keep handrails, walls, mirrors and fixtures clean.
• Empty trash and replace liners; sweep and mop floors.
• Follow safety procedures; use caution signage and keep chemicals out of reach.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas.
