Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services in Cromwell, CT, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to provide campus cleaning and minor maintenance across units and public areas. You will follow schedules, assist with linen services, bed making, and resident moves, while upholding infection control standards.

The role requires some high school education, housekeeping experience, and reliable English communication.

Qualifications

• Some high school education.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written.
• Dependability and ability to organize daily cleaning schedule.
• Interest in and desire to work with older adults.
• Weekend availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedule and standards.
• Complete minor maintenance tasks including light bulbs, plunge toilets and change batteries as needed.
• Maintain floors via sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, and more as scheduled.
• Assist in linen program and bed making for residents.
• Move furniture and assist in resident moves during transfers/discharges.
• Receive campus supplies and participate in snow/ice salting as needed.
