Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks a Transportation Specialist to move behavioral health patients between facilities. The role requires a valid Georgia driver’s license, clean driving record, and BLS or ARC-BLS certifications.

You will operate company vehicles, communicate with dispatch, and ensure safety and professionalism in all interactions. You must understand English well and complete required AVADE de-escalation and safety trainings within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must understand instructions in English (written and spoken).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Georgia Driver's License (GADL) required.
• BLS or ARC-BLS or BLS-Instructor certifications required or obtained upon hire.
• AVADE de-escalation, precautions, and violence prevention trainings required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transports Behavioral health patients using company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
• Communicates with dispatch to acknowledge activation and instructions.
• Remain vigilant for activities that could cause injury or property damage.
• Document activity logs and vehicle reports accurately.
• Maintain professional image and contact with patients, visitors and coworkers.
