Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required (ARC-BLS, BLS-Instructor acceptable).
• EMT-BASIC or higher certification required.
• Georgia Driver’s License (GADL) required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect EMS unit/equipment for readiness at start of shift.
• Operate ambulances/transport vehicles in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Respond to calls within 10–15 minute windows as scheduled.
• Assist with loading/unloading patients and supporting medical staff.
• Maintain ambulance cleanliness and stocked supplies/equipment.
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians and coworkers using appropriate terminology.
• Replenish supplies and sanitize ambulance after each use.
• Participate in training sessions and follow safety protocols.
• Assist medical personnel following established protocols.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional environment.
