The BHT assists with client observations, safety rounds, daily living activities, facility cleanliness, meal support, documentation, and structured activities, with leadership level varying by experience and competency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety rounds, client observations, and wellness checks per protocol.
• Monitor client behavior and safety; report concerns to staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living (meals, laundry, hygiene).
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of all client areas.
• Assist with meals, supplies, inventory, and daily operations.
• Support a structured, therapeutic environment per schedule and guidelines.
• Provide professional, recovery-focused client engagement.
• Assist admissions, discharges, belongings checks, and orientation.
• Document observations, interactions, and incidents accurately.
• Communicate concerns to clinical or nursing staff.
• Follow infection control, HIPAA, and DHCS standards.
• Participate in handoffs, meetings, trainings, and competency activities.
• Support crisis prevention and de-escalation.
• Promote dignity, boundaries, and trauma-informed care.
• Operate company vehicles to transport clients when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
