Job summary

STR Bucks in Levittown, PA seeks an Experienced Behavioral Health Technician for per diem shifts. You will collaborate with clinicians to screen and assist clients, supervise meals, and support therapeutic activities throughout the day.

You will perform drug tests and safety checks, maintain clinical boundaries, and document all interactions per policy. A high school diploma and relevant certifications are required, with opportunities to grow in a supportive treatment team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; drug and alcohol certification preferred or willingness to complete within orientation period.
• 2+ years experience working with clients with substance abuse and/or mental health issues and 1 year supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with clinical team to determine interventions for clients.
• Engages clients in milieu and activities throughout the day in various group settings.
• Prompts clients to complete ADLs and performs room hygiene checks.
• Conducts drug screening, pregnancy tests, and breathalyzers as necessary.
• Supervises meals and mealtimes; provides structure at mealtimes.
• Models appropriate table manners and social interactions.
• Maintains therapeutic environment with staff collaboration.
• Interacts therapeutically in 1:1 and group settings; teaches DBT coping skills.
• Facilitates client education groups; responds to crises as needed.
• Documents services, incidents, shift/group notes timely and accurately.
• Adheres to safety procedures, conducts drills; supports crisis prevention.
