Job summary

Odyssey Behavioral Group in Warminster, PA is seeking an entry-level Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to assist clients throughout shifts, support daily living activities, and help maintain a therapeutic environment within the facility.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 1 year of experience with mental health clients, CPR/First Aid, and willingness to train in BHT and CPI; valid driver's license preferred. You will document client records and collaborate with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience working with clients with mental health issues.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to complete within the first 30 days of employment.
• TB test clearance.
• Willing to complete BHT and CPI Training courses within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with clinical team to determine interventions based on clients’ needs.
• Engages clients in milieu and group settings throughout the workday.
• Prompts clients to complete ADLs and performs regular room hygiene checks.
• Conducts client drug screening, pregnancy tests, and breathalyzers as necessary.
• Promotes meal-time attendance and provides supervision and structure at meals.
• Maintains therapeutic environment in collaboration with staff.
• Interacts therapeutically in one-to-one, group, and community settings with appropriate boundaries.
