Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support patients under the supervision of a registered nurse in a behavioral health setting. The role emphasizes direct patient care, safety, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to implement treatment plans and promote recovery.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, calm crisis response, and compassionate, patient-centered care, working part-time across day or night shifts to help patients achieve improved wellness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related mental health field or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs and daily living activities.
• Monitor and document patient behaviors and physical status.
• Lead or co-lead therapeutic groups and activities.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and respond in crisis.
• Document observations and outcomes in the EMR.
