Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech to support the care of patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role focuses on providing compassionate, patient-centered care and assisting with clinical procedures and unit operations.

The position is full-time/36 hours per week, daytime shifts, at Mercy’s behavioral health services, with a focus on evaluating and supporting patients with psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders, and substance use

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CNA/CPCT or in a healthcare program
• BLS certification within one month of hire; PCT competencies within 3 months

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to nursing care
• Assist in unit operational support tasks consistent with Mercy Service Standards

Education
