DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a CNA to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse within a behavioral health unit. The role emphasizes safety, comfort, and compassionate care for psychiatric patients.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, documenting vital signs, and supporting routine nursing tasks while maintaining clear communication with nurses, patients and families.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required/preferred.
• CPI training within 30 days of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification currently required or preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
• Reading, writing and speaking English necessary.
• Prefer hospital experience.

Responsabilités

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.
• Maintains safe, clean environment for psychiatric patients.
• Assists with activities of daily living as needed.
• Communicates patient needs and reports to the nurse.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Assists with patient safety and observation as required.
