Job summary

Greater Lakes Mental Health is seeking a Mental Health Advocate to provide supportive counseling and case management to adults with behavioral health needs. Under supervision of a licensed professional, you will coordinate care, identify resources, advocate for clients, and develop goal-oriented treatment plans.

Position requires driving and a WA ACCR credential; prior experience in behavioral health is preferred, with travel between clinics and community sites as needed.

Qualifications

• ACCR credential must be applied for within 30 days of hire; pending allowed up to 120 days.
• One year of experience with seriously mentally ill adults or in Behavioral Health preferred.
• Driving is essential; valid license, insurance and acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a consumer advocate in relation to the mental health system.
• Provide person-centered supportive counseling and case management.
• Assist in developing treatment plans with specific clinical outcomes.
• Coordinate community support activities and resource referrals.
• Maintain consumer records per guidelines.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals for ongoing needs.
