Job summary

United Health Services, Inc. is seeking a patient care assistant to support bedside care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to assist with ADLs, nutrition, and monitoring, while maintaining a clean and safe care area and documenting observations in the electronic health record. The role emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and adherence to HIPAA and infection-control practices.

Qualifications

• BLS certification may be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Nurse Aide (CNA) credential preferred.
• Vocational Diploma/Certificate in Nurse Aide studies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and ADLs under the direction of the RN to support comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Assist with nutrition and hydration under RN guidance to promote adequate intake.
• Record vital signs and other clinical data in the EHR and promptly communicate changes to the RN.
• Support safe mobility, ambulation, positioning, and transfers to promote comfort and prevent complications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment and respond to call lights.
• Document patient care activities and observations per unit guidelines and ensure clear handoffs.
• Perform Unit Secretary and clerical duties when assigned to support unit workflow.
