City of Conroe is seeking an Animal Care Technician to maintain a clean, sanitary City of Conroe Animal Shelter facility and to provide food and water to the animals in the shelter. The technician will assist with other daily operations as directed.

JOB SUMMARY
The Animal Care Technician will maintain a clean and sanitary City of Conroe Animal Shelter facility and will provide food and water to the animals in the shelter. The Animal Care Technician will assist with other daily operations as directed.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience working with an Animal Shelter or Animal Clinic is preferred.
The work is heavy and requires the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally with assistance, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force consistently to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
