Job summary

Oakmont Management Group in California seeks a Care Provider-Alzheimers to assist residents with daily living activities and deliver compassionate, respectful care. You will support eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring and continence while promoting independence and dignity.

Responsibilities include responding promptly to resident needs, reporting changes to supervisors, maintaining a safe environment, and collaborating with teams across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in their ADLs as specified in the care plan (eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, continence).
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining dignity and safety.
• Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
