Job summary

Riverside Health System is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist in the direct care of hospital patients under RN/LPN supervision. The role includes maintaining a safe patient environment, performing basic treatments, and ensuring accurate documentation in line with care plans.

The ideal candidate will have a CNA certification (or approved equivalents like EMT-B) and CPR/BLS, with a preference for at least one year in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year prior experience in acute health care setting preferred.
• CPR/BLS Certification required upon hire.
• CNA or EMT-B or CMA/RMA or related credential accepted.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of technology systems for patient data collection.
• Maintains clean, safe and orderly patient environment; stocks supplies and keeps equipment stored properly.
• Follows plan of care; performs treatments and procedures under RN/LPN supervision as competency allows.
• Completes documentation accurately and in accordance with plan of care and privacy standards.
• Participates in training and supports team members, volunteers, and students as needed.
