Job summary

Riverside Health in Newport News, VA is seeking a Nursing Assistant capable of following plans of care under RN/LPN direction and performing treatments competently. Qualifications

• Certification as CNA or equivalent required at hire.
• Alternative credentials: EMT-B, CMA/RMA or Medical Assistant program graduate.
• Active enrollment in LPN/RN program with clinical hours considered.
• CPR/BLS certification required upon hire; Instructor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow plan of care and perform treatments under RN/LPN direction, independently when competent.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and resources necessary for care.
• Accurately document care and participate in team training and support.

Education

CNA certification

EMT-B certification (or equivalent)

CMA/RMA or Medical Assistant training

LPN or RN diploma program (clinical hours)
