Job summary

Imperial Healthcare Rehabilitation & Nursing seeks an energetic Activity Assistant to join our Skilled Nursing Facility team. You will plan and lead recreational activities, encourage resident participation, and promote social engagement to enhance residents’ quality of life.

This part-time role requires flexibility to work weekends and evenings, strong communication, compassion, and teamwork to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient and team-oriented attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in activities, healthcare, recreation, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading recreational, social, and group activities
• Encourage resident participation and social interaction
• Transport residents safely to and from activities
• Help with holiday events, themed programs, and decorations
• Observe resident engagement and report concerns to nursing staff
• Maintain a safe, positive, and welcoming environment
