Hudson Elms Nursing Home is seeking a Part-time Activities Assistant to bring joy and meaningful engagement to residents in Hudson, Ohio. This role supports residents’ well-being by planning engaging recreational and social activities.

You will plan, organize, and lead activities, encourage participation, and assist with supplies. A compassionate, team-oriented mindset is essential for creating a warm, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior experience in recreation, activities, or working with seniors preferred but not required.
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational and social activities for residents.
• Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet varying abilities.
• Help with set-up, clean-up, and preparation of supplies and materials for activities.
• Escort and assist residents to and from programs as needed.
• Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment that promotes resident independence and enjoyment.
• Document attendance and resident participation.
