Job summary

Evergreen Health and Rehab Center in Winchester, VA is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Activity Assistant to lead recreational programs for residents, including arts and educational activities. You will join a dynamic team and help create meaningful daily experiences for residents.

Preferred candidates bring experience in leading recreational activities; training is provided, with flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with course work in recreation is preferred.
• Completion of a state approved activity-training course is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in leading recreational activities, arts/crafts, intellectual/educational activities, community outings, etc., preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead recreational activities, arts & crafts, and intellectual/educational programs for residents.
• Support residents during community outings and group activities.
• Collaborate with care teams to promote wellbeing through engaging, therapeutic recreation.
