Job summary

Northgate Park is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Assistant to provide physical and psychosocial care for our residents. You will support daily living activities, document care provided, and collaborate with a caring team to promote dignity and comfort in a safe, welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of caregiving experience, can lift 40 pounds, and are able to work full 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have at least one year of caregiving experience, preferably in a community setting.
• Resident Care Assistant reports to shift supervisor and Wellness Director.
• Must be able to work full 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical and psychosocial care to residents with dignity and individuality.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, hygiene, eating, mobility).
• Maintain professional demeanor when interacting with residents and families.
• Report suspected abuse to licensed staff immediately.
• Use safe transfer techniques and assist with mobility.
• Writes and documents services on company forms.
• Escort residents and coordinate internal transportation needs.
• Observe changes in residents' condition and report to supervisor.
