Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio is seeking a Housekeeping & Companion Aide at Maple Crest to help maintain a clean, safe living environment and provide companionship to elders. You will perform housekeeping tasks, assist with meals, and support residents with activities while ensuring their well-being.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, adherence to safety procedures, and reporting to the Facilities Coordinator.

Qualifications

Willingness to care for older adults and align with the organization’s mission.
Familiarity with household cleaning and laundering.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid Ohio driver’s license with clean driving record.
Ability to complete and maintain First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Perform housekeeping tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors and cleaning bathrooms.
Provide one-on-one companionship and assist with meals and activities for elders.
Transport elders safely to off-site activities and medical appointments using company vehicles.
Report malfunctioning equipment and maintenance concerns to the Facilities Coordinator.
Maintain confidentiality and respond to elder emergencies in accordance with safety protocols.
