Job summary

Right at Home is seeking a caring Homemaker Companion to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their own community. You’ll provide companionship, light homemaking, and safe transport, helping clients stay independent and comfortable at home.

You’ll work with a supportive local team, receive ongoing paid training, flexible schedules, weekly pay, and opportunities for advancement as you make a real difference every day. No experience?

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Must have completed a written Competency Evaluation.
• Sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick and ability to handle job demands.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle.
• Must be able to lift at least a specified weight.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Assist with homemaking tasks as needed (light cleaning, laundry, meal prep).
• Support clients in staying independent and safe at home.
• Build supportive relationships with clients and their families.
• Accept on-the-job training and adapt to client needs.
