The role emphasizes non-medical support, social engagement, and daily living assistance to enhance quality of life. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, encouraging routines, helping with light chores, monitoring medication reminders, and reporting changes to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1 year of experience as a Companion Care Homemaker/Companion Care Provider preferred.
• Ability to carry out tasks professionally and adhere to boundaries preferred.
• Compassionate nature and strong interpersonal skills preferred.
• Proficiency in English required; Computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provides socialization and mild exercise encouragement; reminders to take medications.
• Ensures patient safety during bathing, toileting, and dressing; light housekeeping and grocery shopping.
• Arrives at the client’s home on time and completes shift as scheduled.
• Performs duties accurately and timely; follows infection control procedures.
• Communicates effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and clients.

Hourly Pay: $20.34 - $21.50

Maxim Healthcare is hiring for a Companion Caregiver to provide services to patients/clients in their places of residence.

Responsibilities:

• Provides “hands off” care such as:
  • Providing and encouraging socialization
  • Encouraging a mild exercise program
  • Encouraging medication compliance through timely reminders to take medications
  • Supervising the safety of the patient/client when bathing, toileting, and dressing
  • Assisting with grocery-shopping; and performing light housekeeping chores
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
• Arrives at the client’s home on time and leaves when shift schedule is complete
• Performs all duties in an accurate and timely manner
• Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• One (1) year of experience as a Companion Care Homemaker/Companion Care Provider preferred
• Ability to carry out tasks in a professional manner and adhere to policies regarding professionalism and boundaries preferred
• Must demonstrate a compassionate nature and possess strong interpersonal skills preferred
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills preferred
• Proficiency in the English language is required
• Computer proficiency required
