Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Companion Caregiver to provide in-home support for patients in their residences. The role focuses on compassionate, non-medical care tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities include social engagement, light exercise encouragement, medication reminders, safety supervision during bathing/dressing, light housekeeping, and grocery assistance. Infection control practices must be followed, and timely communication with the client is

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• One (1) year of experience as a Companion Care Homemaker/Companion Care Provider preferred
• Ability to carry out tasks in a professional manner and adhere to policies regarding professionalism and boundaries preferred
• Must demonstrate a compassionate nature and possess strong interpersonal skills preferred
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong communication skills preferred
• Proficiency in the English language is required
• Computer proficiency required

Hourly Pay: $20.34 - $21.50

Responsibilities:

• Provides “hands off” care such as:
  • Providing and encouraging socialization
  • Encouraging a mild exercise program
  • Encouraging medication compliance through timely reminders to take medications
  • Supervising the safety of the patient/client when bathing, toileting, and dressing
  • Assisting with grocery-shopping; and performing light housekeeping chores

• Arrives at the client’s home on time and leaves when shift schedule is complete
• Performs all duties in an accurate and timely manner
• Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions

Requirements:
