Job summary

Synergy HomeCare in Southeast Michigan is seeking caring individuals to join our team. As a caregiver you will build meaningful relationships while helping clients with daily tasks, transportation, meal prep, light housekeeping, and social engagement.

We schedule interviews now in Canton, Plymouth, Livonia and Ann Arbor, offering flexible hours, overtime opportunities, and a $250 signing bonus after 250 hours. Training, a mobile app for scheduling, and coverage benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience is not required; willingness to learn and training provided.
• Compassionate, social, trustworthy and service-minded.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willing to acquire.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship to seniors with engaging activities and games.
• Assist with daily activities including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Prepare snacks and meals to support client nourishment during scheduled time.
• Encourage light exercise to keep the client active.
• Tidy and maintain a clean, comfortable home environment.
• Transport clients to appointments, social activities, and community events.

Responsibilities:

• Companionshipto seniors with engaging activities and games
• Helpingwith daily activities like bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility
• Preparingsnacks and meals to help sustain and satisfy the client throughout your scheduled time with them.
• Encouraginglight exercise to keep the client active and physically moving.
• Tidyingup the house that keep the home environment neat and enjoyable for the client.
• Transportingthe client to nearby appointments or engagements. Take the clients to social activities, doctor's offices, and events in the community or with family and friends.

Requirements:

• Experience– We'd love if you’ve prior experience but you don't have to . As long as you are willing to learn, we'll train you
• Skills– We’re looking for individuals that are compassionate, social, trustworthy and service-minded
• Characteristics– This is an autonomous position, so we’re looking for individuals that are self-motivated and willing to learn
• Have or willing to acquire CPR/First Aid certification
• National background check
• A valid driver's license and means of transportation (a reliable car with proof of insurance/registration is preferred)
