Synergy HomeCare in Southeastern Michigan is seeking caring caregivers to build meaningful relationships with clients and help them perform daily tasks such as meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation. The role emphasizes companionship, assistance with bathing, grooming, mobility, and light exercise, with flexible hours and a travel allowance on a case-by-case basis.

• Experience expected but not required; training provided.
• Compassionate, social, trustworthy and service-minded.
• Autonomous, self-motivated and willing to learn.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain).
• National background check required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Companionship to seniors with engaging activities and games.
• Help with daily activities like bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Prepare snacks and meals for clients.
• Encourage light exercise to keep clients active.
• Tidy the home to keep the environment neat and enjoyable.
• Transport clients to appointments and social activities.

Responsibilities:

• Companionshipto seniors with engaging activities and games

• Encouraginglight exercise to keep the client active and physically moving.

• Transportingthe client to nearby appointments or engagements. Take the clients to social activities, doctor's offices, and events in the community or with family and friends.

Requirements:

• Experience– We'd love if you’ve prior experience but you don't have to . As long as you are willing to learn, we'll train you

• Skills– We’re looking for individuals that are compassionate, social, trustworthy and service-minded

• Characteristics– This is an autonomous position, so we’re looking for individuals that are self-motivated and willing to learn

• Have or willing to acquire CPR/First Aid certification

• National background check

• A valid driver’s license and means of transportation (a reliable car with proof of insurance/registration is preferred)
