Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is seeking a Member Wellness Coach to interact with new and existing members, guiding them toward health and well-being goals. The role creates a welcoming environment for members of diverse backgrounds and abilities and supports participation in YMCA wellness programs.

You will coach and monitor progress, answer health-related questions, build relationships, and help members connect with group exercise communities while adhering to YMCA policies and maintaining

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Certifications: ASHI Basic Life Support (ASHI CPR Pro), First Aid.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all backgrounds.
• Must complete required Y-USA trainings within first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coach members in support of their desired behavior change and monitor progress toward goals.
• Answer questions from members to support health and wellness goals.
• Build authentic relationships with members and connect them with group exercise communities.
• Use tools and handouts to increase member knowledge of wellness programs.
• Conduct post-enrollment interviews to understand members' well-being goals and needs.
• Maintain and clean equipment as scheduled.
• Follow YMCA policies and procedures; respond to emergencies.
• Attend all staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
