Job summary

Bowery Residents' Committee in New York City is seeking a dedicated staff member to assist with transportation of clients to appointments, housing placements, and other placements, and to help with deliveries and keeping facilities clean. The role supports DHS partners and internal programs, handling storage of deliveries and related duties as assigned.

Flexible, full-time hours and a commitment to serving New Yorkers experiencing homelessness.

Qualifications

• Valid NY state driver’s license required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Be a member of Fire Safety Team.
• Vaccination Preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transportation of clients to and from appointments, housing placements, detox, and other placement points as needed.
• Delivery and pick up of supplies and program documents to and from various BRC programs and DHS facilities.
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of the facility.
• Receive and store all deliveries.
• Related duties as assigned.
