Job summary

Bowery Residents' Committee is seeking a qualified housing services professional in New York. The role focuses on outreach and advocacy, helping homeless individuals access entitlements and essential services while maintaining meticulous progress notes and documentation.

You will provide psychosocial support, treatment planning, and aftercare follow-up, and collaborate with staff to place clients in housing. CPR/first aid readiness is preferred, with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; BA preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish–English preferred.
  • Experience with homeless mentally ill and outreach experience helpful; CASAC preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide concrete services, entitlements and advocacy.
  • Escort clients to appointments.
  • Documentation, record keeping and progress notes.
  • Psychosocial, treatment planning and aftercare follow-up.
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings.
  • Housing placement.
  • Provide emergency first aid/CPR when needed.
