Job summary

ROCS Transit provides safe and efficient transportation for residents in the local service area, primarily Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm. As a Community Transit Driver, you will operate paratransit vans, mini-vans, and buses to serve riders with care and professionalism.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, reliable insurance, and strong customer service and communication skills, with basic computer/Microsoft knowledge in daily tasks.

Qualifications

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a good driving record and proof of auto insurance.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Computer and Microsoft knowledge required.

Responsibilities

  • Transport passengers over specified routes according to time schedule.
  • Perform and record manufacturer recommended maintenance/repairs of vehicle.
  • Assist passengers in entering and exiting vehicle.
  • Assist frail and disabled persons to door and carry packages if necessary.
  • Inform supervisor of progress and problem areas.
  • Maintain required records and reporting.
  • Comply with traffic regulations.
  • Perform required daily vehicle inspection.
  • Ensure that vehicle is kept clean and orderly.
  • Maintain confidentiality in appropriate matters.
  • Attend necessary staff meetings and training sessions.

Job Summary:

Provide safe and efficient transportation for residents living in the local service area. ROCS Transit primarily operates between the hours of Monday - Friday, 8-4:30p. Vehicles primarily operated include paratransit vans, mini-vans, and buses.
