Job summary

WORK Inc. in the Kingston area near RT.3 and Rt. 44 is seeking a Community Training Specialist to support four individuals with Autism as they move into their new home.

You will promote social inclusion, provide mentorship, and empower independence through personalized goals and community participation. Qualified candidates will have at least one year in human services; internships or volunteering count. Massachusetts driver’s license is required; autism/developmental disabilities experience

Qualifications

  • One year of experience in the human services field is required; internships and volunteer work count toward experience.
  • A valid Massachusetts driver’s license is required.
  • Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or autism is preferred.
  • Candidate should be compassionate, creative and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing opportunities for individuals to participate in their local community.
  • Provide positive role modeling and mentorship.
  • Prepare and implement program goals, service plans, progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Nurture positive relationships with individuals, families, guardians and service providers.
  • Support healthcare, dental needs and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
