Job summary

WORK Inc. in Kingston, MA is seeking Community Training Specialists to support four individuals with Autism as they transition into their new home near RT 3 and Rt 44.

You will promote social inclusion, provide mentorship, and help enhance daily living skills and independence. The role emphasizes compassionate, creative self-starter teamwork, ability to work independently and with families, and collaboration with service providers to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in the human services field; internships and volunteers may count.
• Massachusetts Driver's License is required.
• Preference for experience with developmental disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder.

• Assist in developing opportunities for individuals to participate in their local community.
• Provide positive role modeling and mentorship.
• Prepare and implement program goals, individual service and treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in developing opportunities for individual’s to be a part of their local community
• Provide positive role modeling and mentorship
• Preparation and implementation of program goals, individuals service plans, progress notes and treatment plans.
• Nurturing a positive relationship with individuals, families, guardians and service providers
• Providing for appropriate healthcare, medical and dental needs and promoting healthy lifestyle choices

Requirements

• This position requires one year experience working in the human service field however internships and volunteer opportunities can be substituted for work experience.
• Possession of a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License.

Preference will be given to candidates that have direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder

The selected candidate will be a compassionate, creative, self-starter capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
