Job summary

WORK Inc. is seeking a Community Training Specialist to support four individuals with Autism who are moving into a new home in the Kingston area, with close proximity to RT.3 and Rt. 44.

The role emphasizes promoting social inclusion, mentorship, and improving quality of life for a young adult in a community setting. Qualified candidates will have at least one year of human service experience and a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in the human service field (internships and volunteer work count).
• Massachusetts Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to engage in community activities.
• Provide positive role modeling and mentorship.
• Develop and implement program goals and service plans.
• Maintain progress notes and treatment plans for individuals.
• Foster positive relationships with individuals, families, guardians and service providers.

Responsibilities include

• Assisting in developing opportunities for individual’s to be a part of their local community
• Provide positive role modeling and mentorship
• Preparation and implementation of program goals, individuals service plans, progress notes and treatment plans.
• Nurturing a positive relationship with individuals, families, guardians and service providers
• Providing for appropriate healthcare, medical and dental needs and promoting healthy lifestyle choices

Requirements

• This position requires one year experience working in the human service field however internships and volunteer opportunities can be substituted for work experience.
• Possession of a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License.

Preference will be given to candidates that have direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder

The selected candidate will be a compassionate, creative, self-starter capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
