Job summary

Kenneth Young Center is seeking an experienced behavioral health clinician to provide in-person outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, and case management to adults in the Northwest Chicago suburbs. The role supports independence through community-based services and coordinates care across PSH buildings and other settings.

The position requires a Master’s degree in social work or psychology, IL IM-CANS certification within 30 days, and a valid Illinois driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or psychology.
• Illinois IM-CANS certification within 30 days of hire (training provided).
• Applicants must have a valid IL Driver’s License and daily access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery-oriented behavioral health assessments and treatment planning.
• Coordinate community support, case management, and crisis intervention as needed.
• Develop and lead weekly therapy or skills groups at housing facilities or community settings.
• Collaborate with building management, service coordinators, and partners to coordinate referrals and access to services.
• Engage clients in treatment goals and monitor progress over time.
• Perform de-escalation and crisis intervention when necessary.
