UVA Community Health seeks an Experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our General Surgery team in Culpeper, Virginia. The role focuses on outpatient visits, pre- and post-operative care, and hospital consultations within a collegial, community-based surgical practice.

The ideal candidate will manage an 18–22 patient daily outpatient schedule, support physician sessions, and collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and medical assistants.

Qualifications

• Licensed PA or NP in Virginia
• Experience in general surgery preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Manage outpatient clinic schedule averaging 18–22 patients per day
• Conduct pre and post-operative visits and support physician clinic sessions
• Participate in hospital surgical consultations with the General Surgery team
• Provide care at Culpeper Medical Center
• Work with an engaged team of physicians, nurses and medical assistants
• Foster meaningful patient relationships and continuity of care
• No current scheduled call requirement
