Job summary

Interim, Inc. is seeking a Community Support Worker III to assist in facilitating self-help groups and orient clients to the program community. The role involves advocating for mental health programs in the community, supporting clients with self-advocacy, and promoting recreational activities and employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• Direct experience as a consumer of public or private mental health services.
• At least one year of experience as a Community Support Worker II or equivalent.
• Completion of Human Services Certification or Basic Skills Curriculum for the Mental Health Workforce or Peer to Peer Certificate.
• Clerical/Office Skills Certification or equivalent coursework.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work with groups.

Responsibilities

• Engage and orient clients to the program community.
• Facilitate self-help and other groups as needed.
• Perform office duties and use computer proficiently.
• Provide informal supportive counseling and guidance to residents/clients.
• Keep detailed and accurate documentation including Medi-Cal billing and HMIS forms.
• Assist clients in medication support and charting usage.
• Mentor individuals needing emotional support or encouragement to attend school or work.
