Job summary

Work Opportunities Unlimited in New Hampshire is seeking a Work & Community Support Specialist to engage individuals in work, recreation, and activities that promote independence in their community.

You will drive clients, provide on-site job coaching, and collaborate with a team to help individuals reach their personal goals. The role emphasizes high‑touch customer service, adaptability, and documentation in digital systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-touch customer service environments.
• Valid driver’s license and comfortable traveling within your local community.
• Comfortable using MS Office, documenting notes in an electronic system, and accessing apps on a mobile device.

Responsibilities

• Use your vehicle to transport individuals to and from work and volunteer sites (mileage reimbursement provided).
• Provide long-term, on-site, job support for the duration of an individual’s employment.
• Serve as their coach and advocate to foster success in the workplace.
• Support participation in volunteer and/or other recreational activities to help develop self-advocacy, independent living and communication skills.

Work & Community Support gives the individual the opportunity to participate in activities that will put them on a path to independence.

A typical day might include the following:

• Using your vehicle to transport individuals to and from work and volunteer sites (mileage reimbursement provided)
• Provide long-term, on-site, job support for the duration of an individual’s employment
• Serve as their coach and advocate to foster success in the workplace
• Support their participation in volunteer and/or other recreational activities to help develop self-advocacy, independent living and communication skills

Additional requirements include:

• Valid driver’s license and comfortable traveling within your local community
• Monday – Friday, daytime business hours (flexibility offered for part-time to choose 3-5 days per week, with hours between 8:00 or 8:30am - 3:00 or 3:30pm each day)
• Comfortable using MS Office, documenting notes in an electronic system, and accessing apps on a mobile device
