Job summary

Work Opportunities Unlimited in Woonsocket, RI is seeking an Employment Specialist to help individuals find meaningful employment and build lasting independence. You will support students aged 14+ with career goals, resumes, applications, and interview preparation, and accompany them to interviews as needed.

The role offers daytime hours Monday–Friday (minimum 20 hours for part-time), mileage reimbursement for travel, and opportunities for growth through a Management Training Program.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-touch customer service environments.
• Comfortable documenting notes in electronic systems and using mobile apps.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Transport individuals to and from job interviews (mileage reimbursement provided).
• Guide students to develop career goals and objectives.
• Help students create customized resumes and complete applications for jobs or school admissions.
• Coach and prepare for interviews.
• Assist students at their job sites to ensure success and independence.

A typical day might include the following:

• Using your vehicle to transport individuals to and from job interviews (mileage reimbursement provided)
• Guiding students to develop career goals and objectives
• Helping students create a customized resume and complete applications for either jobs or school admissions
• Coaching and preparing for interviews
• Assisting students at their job sites to ensure success and independence
