Job summary

Lionsgate Academy in North Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Community Support Para to assist students at job sites and transport them in school vehicles. This role involves working full days, 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, throughout the school year with summers off.

Overview

We are a school transition program for students on the autism spectrum.

Work Schedule

Work 8 hours/day (7:45a-4:15p), 9 months/yr, summers off

Responsibilities

• Support students at job sites
• Transport students in our school vans
• Work scheduled day shift, 7:45-4:15 – no nights or weekends

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Ability to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete required job tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 year degree or a minimum of 60 college credits or successful completion of the ParaPro exam
• Knowledge and experience working with students on the autism spectrum and low incidence disabilities
• One year previous experience in high school setting or transition program
• Valid driver’s license/ability to transport students via school vehicle (must have 3 or fewer moving violations in the last three years and no DWI/DUI convictions within the past 5 years)
• Knowledge and experience working with Google Apps
