Job summary

Lionsgate Academy in Saint Paul, MN, is seeking a paraeducator to support students on the autism spectrum in a school transition program. You will work day shifts, 7:45–4:15, 9 months per year with summers off, and help students at job sites.

The role offers $20–$21 per hour, 80 hours of PTO, and medical, vision & disability benefits. Preferred qualifications include a 2-year degree or 60 college credits or ParaPro exam, plus experience with Google Apps and high school transition settings.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate a computer and software required for job tasks.
• Preferred: 2-year degree or 60 credits or ParaPro exam.
• Knowledge/experience with autism spectrum students and low incidence disabilities.
• One year experience in high school setting or transition program.
• Valid driver’s license with driving record restrictions.
• Knowledge/experience with Google Apps.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Ability to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete the required job tasks

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 year degree or a minimum of 60 college credits OR successful completion of the ParaPro exam
• We partner with staff to meet Highly Qualified requirements
• Knowledge and experience working with students on the autism spectrum and low incidence disabilities
• One year previous experience in high school setting or transition program
• Valid driver’s license/ability to transport students via school vehicle (must have 3 or less moving violations in the last three years and no DWI/DUI convictions within the past 5 years).
