Job summary

We operate a school transition program for students on the autism spectrum, seeking staff to support higher behavior students and provide personal care. Shifts are scheduled day shift, with no nights or weekends.

We partner with staff to meet Highly Qualified requirements and support transitions in middle and high school settings. Qualifications include a high school degree or equivalent and a valid driver's license; preferred candidates have 2-year degrees or ParaPro exam completion and

Qualifications

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school degree or equivalent; ability to operate a computer and required software; valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2-year degree or 60 college credits OR ParaPro exam; familiarity with working with autism spectrum students; Google Apps proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work with higher behavior students living with autism in a school transition program.
• Provide various levels of personal care as needed.

Are scheduled day shift, 7:45-4:15 - no nights or weekends

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Ability to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete the required job tasks
• Valid driver's license/ability to transport students via school vehicle (must have 3 or less moving violations in the last three years and no DWI/DUI convictions within the past 5 years).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 year degree or a minimum of 60 college credits OR successful completion of the ParaPro exam.
• We partner with staff to meet Highly Qualified requirements.
• Knowledge and experience working with students on the autism spectrum and low incidence disabilities.
• One year previous experience in a middle school,high school setting or transition setting.
• Knowledge and experience working with Google Apps
