Job summary

Adjoin Catalysts is seeking a Community Support Specialist to deliver direct services supporting clients in post-secondary education, pre-employment, volunteering, and social/recreation activities across California.

The role requires travel within counties served, a valid driver's license, and ability to follow instructions while maintaining professional boundaries. Benefits include comprehensive medical coverage and retirement matching.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in a Social Service setting for at least 1 year.
• Ability to follow instructions and manage time; multitask under pressure.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect confidential information.
• First Aid and CPR certification required or obtained within 45 days of hire.
• Insured, registered vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Must have a mobile smart device with reliable internet connectivity; reimbursement provided.

Responsibilities

• Implement individual training and support programs in education, pre-employment, volunteering, and social/recreation services.
• Develop and coordinate community resources to develop client skills.
• Provide social/behavioral value activities in the community and education on anger management and communication.
• Maintain professional communications with supervisor, clients, and community members.
• Participate in client evaluation through task analyses and assessments.
• Provide timely logs, reports, and client evaluations.
• Assist in ensuring client and staff safety during activities.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities as needed.
